We use the right tool for the job. For hotspot analysis or photo/video flyover assessments, we use the Mavic 2 Enterprise Dual. For more detailed thermal analysis and/or thermal orthomosaic maps, we use an Inspire 1 Pro v2 with FLIR XT. There are pros and cons for either drone, so we work with each client individually to cater the correct data collection and analysis specifically to the project needs. We also use photogrammetry software programs to create customized thermal map deliverables that suite the needs of our clients.

The Inspire 1 Pro v2 was the original workhorse drone for many years. The large, sturdy drone can be used in a wide variety of conditions, and the changeable sensors allow this drone to be quite useful across multiple industries. When paired with the FLIR XT, the Inspire 1 Pro v2 becomes the ultimate thermal mapping and inspection solution. The FLIR XT can capture radiometric jpeg images that stores temperature data in each pixel. This is great for those who need absolute temperatures vs. relative temperatures.

The newly released Mavic 2 Enterprise Dual is a small, compact drone that is purpose built to conduct rapid thermal assessments. The integration of thermal and EO (RGB) sensors result in an amazingly clear thermal image given the relatively small sensor size. This drone is a great option for thermal photo/video inspections.

Our pilots are flight trained, FAA Part 107 Certified, and insured with an annual policy up to $5M. We regularly coordinate with the FAA and air traffic control towers when necessary in order to comply with all regulations and to improve safety for our drone missions. Our safety record is impeccable due to our pre-flight planning and checklist procedures. We operate the Phantom 4 RTK (with mobile base station), Phantom 4 Pro, and Inspire 1 Pro v2 with FLIR XT (thermal).
