6+ years RPIC Cary IL

I have been flying drones for my business for over 9 years and have been an avid remote control pilot since the age of 7! I am an FAA Part 107 certificated Remote Pilot since 2016 and an FAA Part 61 multi-engine manned airplane pilot since 2008. I have over 700 hours fixed wing flying experience (most of it flying turbo-props for the US Navy) and over 350 hours flying drones! I am also a certified Infrared Training Center Level 1 sUAS Thermographer certification #197455 and an AUVSI Level 1 Trusted Operator. MidWest Drone received an FAA 107.29 Daylight Waiver (meaning operations at night.)

I have 3 awesome DJI drones (M300 RTK, Inspire 2 and Mavic 2 Pro), one for hauling my EXPENSIVE, $15,000 Zenmuse XT2 thermal camera, ALMOST as expensive Zenmuse L1 LiDAR and fairly cheap Zenmuse P1 45mp full frame RGB and the other for the SUPER 35 sensor Zenmuse X7 which is an expensive $5,000 gimbal! The DJI Matrice 300 RTK is used for precision mapping, construction, solar panel inspections, electrical transmission line inspections etc... The Inspire 2 is primarily used for cinematography/videography.

My name is Lieutenant Mark R. Kurzinski, United States Navy (Ret.) I am originally from Syracuse NY where I enlisted in the Navy in 1993 and circumnavigated the world 3 times in the Aviation, Surface and Expeditionary Warfare communities culminating in 20 years of service to this country. During my tour of duty, I was fortunate to be selected to an officer commissioning program and received a Bachelor's degree in Communication/Broadcast Journalism from the University of San Diego.
After retirement, I founded MidWest Drone & 3D Imaging in Cary IL blending multiple passions of flying, photography and video/audio production and editing. I am a certificated FAA multi-engine private pilot and FAA Part 107 sUAS drone remote pilot and have over 900 hours of total fixed-wing flying experience. I was also recently certified as an Infrared Training Center Level 1 sUAS Thermographer Certificate #197455. MidWest Drone was also recently granted 14 CFR § 107.29—Daylight operation Waiver Number: 107W-2020-00242
We provide Thermal Imaging with our DJI Matrice 300 RTK and Zenmuse XT2 infrared imager, orthomosiac/photogrammetry mapping to .5 px per inch with Drone Deploy, Litchi, Pix4D or DJI Ground Station Pro and high-resolution HDR aerial imagery and videography with our state-of-the-art, industry-leading DJI Inspire 2 and the Zenmuse X7 SUPER 35 24mp camera.
We can also shoot handheld videography with the SUPER 35 Sony FS5 Mk2 and DJI Ronin-S/Sony A6400 combination anywhere in the Chicago region and beyond!
