About the Provider
Herron Sky View is a company that was born out of passion. Our founder, Dan Herron, already had many years of experience as an aerial photographer before he decided to expand this passion and turn it into a commercially viable business in its own right. Herron Sky View was thus born in Austin, Texas – and we haven’t looked back since!
Dan is an FAA commercially licensed, certified and insured professional aerial pilot and photographer with more than 15 years of industry experience under his belt. Dan gave up his previous career as a corporate photographer and professional marketing manager for GE Energy in order to drop everything and start his career as an exceptional aerial photographer. With previous experience working for such big names as ABC Television News and IBM; it wasn’t long before Dan started making waves at Herron Sky View!
For the last 6 years Dan has worked hand-in-hand with Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (ABIA) as principle photographer on their annual sustainability report. You can view this courtesy of ABIA by following this link. Our founder also holds a degree in Mass Communications and an MS Degree in Management. Additionally, he is a member of the prestigious Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International, the United States Association of Unmanned Aerial Videographers and the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association… an impressive resume indeed.
Initially raised in Marble Falls but based in Austin, Texas and Luckenbach on the weekends; Dan developed his skill until he became a master of aerial photography and video cinematography. To this day Herron Sky View relies on his knowledge and keen photographic eye to produce some of the most creative aerial pictures around. Through this skill we have been privileged to work across a variety of different sectors including advertising, corporate, editorial and have even worked for individual clients.
