FAA part 107 hands-on flight training and online test prep
The following sUAV Pilot Training Program will prepare you for the FAA Part 107 Small Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (sUAV) pilot certificate. This course is tailored to instruct designated personnel on how to safely operate a sUAV and how to maintain it for rapid deployment.
Phase 1 Web-based ground school:
To become a commercial drone pilot, you must pass an FAA written test. This will qualify you as a Part 107 Remote Pilot in Command. The exam covers a variety of aeronautical topics ranging from aerodynamics to weather theory. The course covers them all in multiple lessons grouped into four sections.
The instructors teaching the course have been training aviators to pass their FAA exams for over ten years. Fully prepare for your Part 107 test and you will pass.
If you pass at least three practice final exams with a score of 90% or better and pass your final exam with a score of 80% or better we guarantee you will pass your FAA written exam. If you don’t, we’ll reimburse you for the cost of the test.
The FAA test is 60 questions and requires 70% to pass; you have two hours to complete the multiple choice exam. You will be provided with the same reference manual to use during your online training that will be provided for you at the time of your test, the manual provided during your test is not to keep. You should keep the manual we provide as it will come in handy again; you will be required to retake the exam every 2 years. Each student will have access to the online training for 4 years and it will take a minimum of 20hrs to complete the course. word of advice, spend extra time on the weather theory and sectional chart sections.
Phase 2 Hands-on flight training:
To be conducted by our flight instructors at a location to be determined by you.
Trainees will cover various topics such as; understanding flight software, pre-flight check, setup, planning/basic maneuvers, advanced procedures, flying scenarios and battery maintenance.
Additional training time is available along with challenging exercises designed to test the pilot’s skill and situational awareness.
Upon completion of this program students will receive the sUAV Pilot Ground School Training Certificate required by the FAA for emergency agency remote pilots.
